BS Chem. Eng鈥檊. students join int鈥檒. research immersion in Chulalongkorn University

BSc Chemical Engineering students from the Department of Chemical Engineering (ChemE) of the Faculty of Engineering joined the International Research Immersion hosted by Chulalongkorn University (CU), Bangkok, Thailand from June 8 to August 1, 2018. Lovella Kate Sabile, Angela Nicole Morabe and Rhoan Irish Dimakiling, all fifth-year students, were accepted in the 55-day research immersion program of the Center of Excellence in Particle Technology (CEPT) of the Faculty of Engineering in CU. They were under the supervision of CU鈥檚 Assoc. Prof. Tawatchai Charinpanitkul, D.Eng. and 六合彩直播开奖鈥檚 Mr. Florencio D. De los Reyes, M.Sc.

The team鈥檚 research, 鈥淐onversion of citronella oil to carbon nanotubes using catalytic chemical vapor deposition assisted with ferrocene鈥, is focused on the challenge of synthesizing and characterizing CNTs from a potential source for high-valued applications. At present, the team is continuously working with CU for the 7th Joint Conference on Renewable Energy and Nanotechnology (JCREN 2018), which will be held in Ube, Japan on December 1 鈥 3, 2018.

The CU Chemical Engineering Department offers a learning area and research in the field of Particle Technology through the Center of Excellence in Particle Technology. CEPT Laboratory have received various research grants such as the Thailand Research Fund, MTEC and NECTEC. Currently, there are four doctoral and twenty-seven masters students pursuing their research in Particle Technology.

This research collaboration formally starts the partnership between 六合彩直播开奖 and CU鈥檚 chemical engineering departments.
