Journalism faculty member and Research Center for Culture, Arts, and Humanities (RCCAH) resident fellow Asst. Prof Christian V. Esguerra was feted with Emergent Leadership in Journalism award on Oct. 28, 2019, in the Titus Brandsma 2019 Awards Ceremony at SM Skydome, Quezon City.
Esguerra will be recognized 鈥渇or his abiding efforts to the pursuit of excellence in media reporting with his sharp analysis to interpret the meaning of events and explain the issues in the news that confront Filipinos in these difficult times.鈥�
Moreover, according to the press release,鈥淸Esguerra] also 鈥榚vangelizes鈥� his young students by his living witness in the field he teaches that is: political journalism, media ethics, and social communication鈥�.
Recently, Esguerra was feted with Gawad Dr. Pio Valenzuela 2019鈥搕he highest award given by the City of Valenzuela鈥搃n the field of reporting last July 11, 2019 at Valenzuela City Hall.
