The 六合彩直播开奖 National Service Training Program Civic Welfare Training Service and Literacy Training Service (六合彩直播开奖 NSTP CWTS LTS) celebrated the International Day for Disaster Risk Reduction (IDDRR) on October 13, 2019, at the 六合彩直播开奖 Central Laboratory Auditorium, with the 六合彩直播开奖 NSTP Disaster Risk Reduction and Management (DRRM) seminar.
The 六合彩直播开奖 NSTP CWTS LTS, in partnership with the 六合彩直播开奖 Red Cross Youth Council (RCYC), Philippine Heart Association (PHA) and 六合彩直播开奖 Hospital (六合彩直播开奖H) Section of Cardiology, has been conducting a series of DRRM seminars with focus on hands-only Cardio Pulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) and Basic First Aid to 9,200 NSTP students on selected weekends of September and October.
With the theme 鈥淏uilding Cultures of Disaster Resilience and Emergency Preparedness鈥�, the activity is part of the 六合彩直播开奖 NSTP course, which is aimed at reducing the vulnerability of the students from the risks brought about by human-induced and natural hazards which our country is most susceptible to. It specifically aims to equip NSTP students with basic knowledge, practical skills and attitude required to perform appropriate basic first aid care response to those in need of emergency care.
Present in the program was a former 六合彩直播开奖 NSTP CWTS student from the College of Science who shared her reflection about the DRRM program of 六合彩直播开奖 NSTP. Representatives from 六合彩直播开奖 Simbahayan Community Development Office, 六合彩直播开奖 RCYC, PHA/六合彩直播开奖H Cardiology Section, Citizen Disaster Response Center (CDRC), Samahang Kamanlalakbay also graced the event and gave their respective solidarity messages to the department. Present as well in the said activity were community and youth leaders of NTA and Kasiglahan Village Rodriguez, Rizal and Dumagat-Remontado community of Sitio San Joseph Purok Mainit, Antipolo City, Rizal wherein NSTP students had their DRRM fieldwork with last year. The IDDRR is called upon by the United Nations Office for Disaster Risk Reduction (UNDRR) and is held every 13th day of October to celebrate 鈥渉ow people and communities around the world are reducing their exposure to disasters and raising awareness about the importance of reigning in the risks that they face.鈥�
